ProfilEd for learning innovation teams

Add practice beside the LMS you already run.

Learning innovation teams use ProfilEd as a practice-and-evidence layer beside the LMS they already run. It is not an LMS replacement.

Claim boundaries

  • Learning innovation teams use ProfilEd as a practice layer beside an existing LMS. Courses stay in the LMS. ProfilEd does not replace the LMS or certify competence.
  • ProfilEd sits beside existing course delivery and does not replace an LMS.
  • A first integration is one module, one capability, one practice mode, one reviewer.
  • Practice records are for human review, not certified competence.

Common questions

Does ProfilEd replace our LMS?

No. Delivery, enrolment, and completion stay in the LMS. ProfilEd adds practice on selected capabilities.

Should we migrate courses out of our LMS?

No. Read ProfilEd vs LMS for the category split. This page is a layer beside, not a migration.

What is a good first integration?

One module, one capability, one practice mode, one reviewer, plus the privacy boundary.

Does the layer certify competence?

No. Practice records are for human review. Assessment stays with the institution.

Who owns keep or stop?

Programme leaders, using operating evidence from the pilot.

The job

You already have a place to deliver the course. You may not have a place to inspect the judgement.

Innovation teams are asked to add AI, simulations, or 'engagement' on top of an LMS. The useful test is narrower: can a learner choose, explain, and revise, and can a reviewer see the attempt? Curriculum Graph names the capability. Study Sessions, Story Quests, and AI Case Lab are the practice. Compare ProfilEd and an LMS if the question is category fit.

ProfilEd does not replace the LMS. It does not replace the assessment platform. Programme Leaders own the keep-or-stop call. The record is practice evidence. It is not certified competence.

What the layer must prove

If you cannot answer these, do not expand the pilot.

  • Delivery stays

Enrolment, content, and completion remain in the LMS.

  • An attempt exists

A decision, an explanation, or a Study Session response.

  • A person can inspect it

Named reviewer, named purpose, no hiring-score claim.

Integration path

Do not start with a platform swap.

  • Leave the LMS

Keep the course where it already lives.

  • Attach one capability

Curriculum Graph plus one practice mode.

  • Name the reviewer

    Faculty, coach, or programme lead.

  • Inspect fit

SSO, privacy, reviewer load, and whether the record is used.

What sits beside the LMS

Smallest set that produces an inspectable attempt.

  • Curriculum Graph

The capability and the next practice action.

  • Study Sessions

    Observe, ask, respond.

  • Story Quests

    Choose under constraint.

  • ProfilEd vs LMS

Different jobs. Not a migration pitch.

What it leaves

A layer you can defend to governance.

  • Attempt

Practice records for the selected capability.

  • Operating fit

Whether reviewers used them, and at what cost.

  • Boundary

LMS remains delivery. ProfilEd remains practice.

  • Not an LMS. Not an assessment centre.

ProfilEd records practice beside existing delivery. It does not replace your LMS or assessment platform, certify competence, or treat the record as recruiter-auditable proof.
