Generative AI made it trivially easy to produce polished, well-structured, convincing text — on any topic, at any level of apparent sophistication — in under a minute. The essay, the case analysis, the cover letter, the code exercise: all of them can now be generated without the person submitting them understanding a single word.

The systems built to assess human understanding — exams, assignments, résumés, portfolios — were never designed for this. They were designed for a world where producing good written work was itself a reliable signal of comprehension. That world no longer exists.

We watched this happen from two distinct directions:

• Institutions losing signal: Universities, business schools, and enterprise employers losing the ability to verify what candidates actually know, spending millions on proctoring and assessment tools that generate noise instead of truth.
• Individuals losing certainty: Learners, ambitious professionals, and career switchers quietly losing track of where their genuine capability ended and the performance of capability began. Accumulating book knowledge they freeze up trying to use in live meetings.

ProfilEd is the answer to both versions of the exact same problem. It is the unscripted, honest conversation that neither side of the credentialing system was able to provide.

Navin Dutta founded ThoughtJumper after two decades of architecting digital learning infrastructure for more than two million learners worldwide. Across every deployment — whether in executive classrooms in Mumbai, government initiatives in Saudi Arabia, or technology programs in Silicon Valley — the exact same friction kept surfacing: students could accumulate knowledge, but stumbled when challenged to defend it out loud.

When generative AI arrived in 2023 and dismantled the credibility of static text submissions overnight, the solution became unmistakable. ProfilEd was engineered to make genuine reasoning visible, measurable, and much harder to fake.
